02/10/2021 – Opening meeting:

The three-day meeting for the launch of the "INTERREG VA "GREECE-CYPRUS 2014-2020" project: "Development of a Cross-Border Network for the Promotion of Sustainable Coastal Tourism" which will be implemented in two NATURA areas, Balos (Crete) and Akamas (Cyprus) was completed today. .


The event was co-organized by Chania Chamber, as the lead partner of the project, together with the Laboratory of Renewable and Sustainable Energy Systems of the School of Chemical Engineering and Environment (#ReSEL_TUCTechnical University of Crete.
Greetings at the opening were addressed by Kotsoglou Kyriakos, Authorized Advisor of the Region of Crete in the field of Tourism, Mr. Giorgos Zervos, Special Secretary of the European Fund for Regional Development and Cohesion from the Ministry of Development.


All the institutional representatives of the multidimensional corporate structure participated: the Mayor of Kissamos, Mr. Giorgos Mylonakis. the Director of the Paphos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Marinos Stylianou, Mr. Petros Kosmas, Lecturer at the Cyprus University of Technology and the President of the Community of Inia, Mr. Yiagos Tsivikos.
The participation of Mrs. Stella Tomazou and Mr. Asterios Phylatos, from the Administrative Authority of Cyprus-Greece, is important.
